Philippe Boisse is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering at INSA Lyon, France. He received his Ph.D. degree in 1987 from the University of Paris. From 2008-2012, he served as President of ESAFORM (European Association for Material Forming). In 2013, he served as President of AMAC (French association for Composites Materials. He is the Head of GdR CNRS (Research group) Composite manufacturing processes. From 2011-2018 he is a Director of Doctoral school MEGA Lyon. His fields of research are Composite materials, Composite manufacturing, Mechanics of fibrous materials, Textile mechanical properties.
